A Funny Story Saves the Day

This week I checked out HappyGuy.com. This website has the single purpose of trying to bring happiness to readers. The web address is http://www.thehappyguy.com/. The site is created and ran by a man by the name of David Leonhardt. David Leonhardt writes articles on the website about how to live a happy life. Leonhardt is also a website marketing specialist, and writes articles about how to improve a website’s appeal. The purpose of the Happy Guy site is to hopefully inspire people through Leonhardt’s articles. The intended audience of the site is working people who range from their late twenties to middle age. I can imagine workers sitting in their offices checking this site out in the middle of a long frustrating day. It seems that the author is trying to push his ideas of finding happiness onto the readers. The goal of the articles is to hopefully inspire some people and push them into sharing the website with their friends. The website seems to be built for amusement. This site would perfect for a good laugh. Even though this site is made to be amusing, the site also has a business side. Like all sites, this site makes money from advertisements, and the more people who visit it the more money Leonhardt can make.

The one article that I enjoyed on Happy Guy was titled An adventure with facial hair. This article is about the author’s journey while growing a beard. The author turned this rather boring topic into a funny story. The storytelling ability of the author is very good. He has a witty sense of the humor that I enjoy. I would recommend this site to my friends because anyone who can make a funny story about growing a beard is ok with me.

This guy is the king of self promotion. He has books, speeches, videos, blogs, you name he does it. I guess if he thinks he can make people happy more power to him. Although, his site is incredibly hard to follow and rather unattractive. There's stuff EVERYWHERE!
