Football Fever has HIT!

Fall is here and the smell of chalked grass and pigskin has hit me like crazy. As a football fan who can't stop himself from stopping everything to watch an NFL game, the college football season is just a warm up to September 9th. As I went through the best blogs posted, I naturally stopped to check out the football blog called The Sports Curmudgeon. This blog spot is dedicated to sports and mostly football. The website is at http://www.sportscurmudgeon.com/

The first blog that I read through was titled What To Do With Lloyd Carr? Nothing At All. This blog is about Lloyd Carr who is the head coach of the Michigan Wolverine football team. The blog was posted by the Daily Rants. I liked this blog, because I agreed that Lloyd Carr should not be fired right away after his football team was embarrassingly beaten by Appalachian State in the season opener. Appalachian State who is 1-AA team, which means that they are at a lower class of talent then Michigan, held the Wolverines in check the whole game. I do not believe that Carr should be fired right away because the football team would be left in shambles. The blog goes on to explain how even some of the best coaches have had a down time, and I definitely agree with this notion. One game should not be enough evidence to fire a coach. I am true believer in second chances, and think that the remainder of the season should be the decider in whether Carr will be back next season. The main characteristic of the blog that I dislike is that it seems to jump around from subject to subject. I got a little confused with how each topic related to the title. The fact was that only the first portion dealt with the Michigan head coach and the rest of the blog went off into different subjects.
